Our first idea for a Legion event was to hold a gameday at the Lodge that's nestled between the Peaks, and to call it OtterCon. The tagline was going to be "Come to one of the most scenic spots in Virginia, and ignore it all weekend!"
Well, once we started into planning, we kinda got carried away. Things got too big for just a gameday, and there's not enough room at the Lodge for a full-fledged Con, so we moved to town, but kept the name.
If you have some free time before or after the con, we highly recommend a visit to the Peaks - it's good for the soul!
